['One Love, Two Colours'... The unlikely marraige of a Punk Rocker and his African Queen.]
I actually came across this book by accident, But im so glad i did, as it has been one of the most, honest, Personal, unique, books i have read. The couple let us into the in's and out's of there 10year marraige. Not only does this book discuss in depth the 'realities of an interacial relaionship' It highlights many cultural issues which are of importance within society. The book is both sad at times, but interestingly funny at most, as the couple discuss there 'One Love, Two Colours'...
Not only is the Book is broken down into sections discussing in details every aspect of there relationship from First impressions, to intimacy, to food, finance, religion and much more, The book is structured with each chapter having two authors. Bobby's side (English punk rocker) and Margrets side (African queen). This is something which is constant throughout and never seems to get boring as it is interesting to hear about a subject from both sides.
While reading the book i found that i was more interested in reading Margarets sections of the book. Reason being is because me and her genuinely had more in common than me and Bobby!
Although me and Bobby lacked things in common, I must say he is a very funny guy and often had me in stitches which is somewhat sarcastic veiws.
We almost live a reenactment of Bobby and Margrets relationship and how they conquer prejudice, intolerance and hate.
Overall this book please me, it managed to mix serious issues with humour, however still openining eyes to the realities and the complexity of interacial love. This book did not dissapoint me, it is a honest heart warming story from a dual perspective.

Thanks for your lovely comments - just noticed them tonight. I am not sure if you are the same lady who posted one of the reviews on Amazon. If so, then I am sorry for troubling you again. By the way you can see us doing a book reading on You Tube. Just type in Bobby the punk.
